Katharine Greis has always loved food, baking and bringing sweetness into people’s lives. After a few years working as an HR Consultant, Katharine realized she needed a change. She picked up a Donna Hay magazine one afternoon and saw a beautiful pastry on the front cover: a perfect pink French Macaron. At that point, Katharine realized her mission: to bake these French Macarons that night for her husband. Katharine and Justin had enjoyed these lovely pastries in France and always looked for them in shops around the U.S. but could never find something that came close to the Parisian texture, flavor, and look. The first attempt making French Macaroons was a complete failure, so was the second…the fifth…the 12th and the 30th. It wasn’t until a year later, after many taste tests, that Katharine came up with what she believed to be the perfect French Macaron! Cookies and The Brownie came next. Katharine has always been a people pleaser and Panna Dolce is her way of making you happy…through your tastebuds!
